Siemens Presents Railway Proposal

Jeddah - Transport Minister Dr. Jabara Al-Seraisry yesterday received a proposal from German Siemens company on its technologies related to conventional and high-speed trains as part of efforts by international firms to take part in the Kingdom's railway expansion project linking Makkah, Madinah and Jeddah. Khaled Alyahya, president of the Saudi Railway Organization, said a number of European and Japanese companies have expressed their desire to present similar proposals.
